Cello courses with a unique chamber music opportunity

One of the unique features of the Cellos at Belle Serre summer courses is the opportunity for each student cellist to play trio chamber music coached by the professionals, with both the violinist and pianist playing within the group. This allows every cellist, whatever their own technical level and experience playing with others, (from those with almost no previous chamber music experience to advanced students and professional cellists tackling the giants of the trio repertoire), to experience the pleasure of ensemble playing with inspirational support on all sides.
This year, we have a superb team of violinists and pianists joining us each week: pianists Camille Galinier (Professor of Piano at the CMDT conservatoire and  very much in demand as a chamber music performer here in the Tarn region) and Pippa Harrison (whose own Albany Trio will be giving the world premiere of Judith Bingham’s Trio No.2  in the Royal College of Music’s Women of the World series on March 8th), and violinists Judith Choi Castro, (who runs her own festival in her native Tenerife),  Ed McCullagh and Esther Hopkinson, both UK-based young professional musicians.
All this in addition to the daily cello master classes, Cello Clinic, cello ensembles, baroque and improvisation days that make Cellos at Belle Serre an intensive study week and a great cello holiday.
Bookings are open and places are filling up fast for each of the three courses:
Week 1: 3-10 July
Week 2: 13-20 July
Week 3: 24-31 July
Do come and join us!
