Reflecting on ten years of Cellos at Belle Serre

After ten memorable and immensely happy and successful years of Cellos at Belle Serre, I will be hanging up my cello courses hat in 2020. Although there won’t be any further summer courses, short courses or study visits, I will continue to teach individual lessons both here at Belle Serre and in London and I would be delighted to see you should you wish to contact me for a lesson.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the enormous success and bonheur of the summer courses, short courses and study visits – cellist participants, cello tutors, pianists, chamber music, baroque and improvisation tutors, our wonderful cooks and numerous dedicated helpers including my three remarkable children without whom CBS could never have taken off as it did.

It has been wonderful to share these extraordinarily enriching musical and life-enhancing experiences with you all and to find new friends from all around the world. We’ve had ten years of joyful and beautiful music-making in the paradise that is Belle Serre – great company and conversation, fabulous food with our delicious local wines flowing, and barrels and barrels of laughter and bonhomie. Happy memories – thank you all!
